We share a studio on the most easterly point of the North American continent. Fogo Island is remote, glistening, foggy, sunny, windy and raw. It is intensely inspiring as it is perched on the edge of the Atlantic facing the truth of nature in full contact.
The harbor freezes in winter, light refracting off the ice in a light blue crystallized aura, the spring brings shades of loden green and the fall brings reds so robust. Nature begs to be recorded. The bogs are for walking, the light ever changing, the rust colors of their earth call to be captured in pixels or dyed onto wool yarns.
