Cloth is a reflection of process, a tactile and visual way through which cultures are recorded. I am moved by the tactile experience of cloth, by the stories that can be read through the signs of handling.
Selecting yarns that are spun from natural fibers, my materials behold pure beauty, functionality, comfort, and visual character. I design fabrics and tailor of cloth where the character of the fiber is revealed through the drape. This core objective has been a guiding light commissioned work and as the founder and designer of the brand Brahms Mount Textiles.
My mixed media work often references textiles however takes inspiration from the thousands of living textures on the forest floor, the chaos of old gardens gone wild, the glistening blue aura over an iced-in harbor, life’s textures.
